Seg\u00fan el equipo, los activos fueron \u201ctransferidos err\u00f3neamente\u201d a un atacante en lugar del destinatario previsto.<\/p>\n<p>La salida de los tokens gener\u00f3 especulaciones entre los <em>traders<\/em>, quienes sospechaban que un inversor inicial o un empleado de la empresa podr\u00eda haber violado el per\u00edodo de bloqueo de los tokens. El protocolo estableci\u00f3 este per\u00edodo tras el <em>airdrop<\/em> de los activos el 10 de mayo de 2024, comenzando la negociaci\u00f3n de los tokens la semana pasada. EigenLayer anunci\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente que investigar\u00eda la actividad de venta no autorizada.<\/p>\n<p>En un comunicado publicado en la red social X, EigenLayer explic\u00f3 que la transferencia indebida fue resultado de un ataque a un correo electr\u00f3nico que involucraba la transferencia de tokens de un inversor para su custodia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComo resultado, se realiz\u00f3 una transferencia err\u00f3nea de 1.673.645 tokens EIGEN a la direcci\u00f3n del atacante\u201d, inform\u00f3 el equipo del protocolo. Adem\u00e1s, comunic\u00f3 que ya congelaron parte de los fondos. El protocolo asegur\u00f3 que no existe ninguna vulnerabilidad conocida en su sistema o en los contratos de tokens, destacando que la brecha se debi\u00f3 a un fallo externo y no a una funcionalidad <em>on-chain<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, tanto empleados como ex-empleados de EigenLayer tienen prohibido realizar <em>staking<\/em> con los tokens recibidos hasta al menos el 30 de septiembre de 2025. Adem\u00e1s, la empresa implement\u00f3 una prohibici\u00f3n de ventas de EIGEN hasta el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de los detalles sobre el incidente, el precio del token EIGEN ha subido m\u00e1s del 10% en las \u00faltimas 24 horas, seg\u00fan datos de CoinGecko.
